Every creation has a new beginning. When I was young I realized that art was a way for me to express myself, my feelings,thoughts and desires in life. IT WAS FUN! Colors shapes and designs. In second grade my teacher Mrs. Bell only taught art the whole year, which encouraged my creativity through express.
Recently when my mother died , art became a part of my life again in the form of expression. I dealt with my grief staying busy with creations of things that were fun and expressive to me. Somehow my creations helped me get through every day. Things seem to appear in my work such as butterflies, a form of new life. I just go with it and it seems to work. Art is an expression of deep within, it helps me escape a lot of my inner demons. This is hard to express sometimes so I do it in my art.
Creating can be done in different ways in life. Creations are a reflection of a person.. I went back to school for the Culinary field and persuaded that for 10 years. Designing plates to make an appealing presentation for the customer. Art can be displayed in more ways than you think and are done every day. Culinary, photography, architect, landscape and designer. Well you get the idea.
I find myself as an adult walking through stores looking at items and those that stand out to me are those that I connect with and actually see what I want to do with that item. I confuse a lot of people but I do not care, as long as I understand that is all that matters.
Creativity is seen differently by each person. Some believe you are born with it, others believe you learn and develop with it. I know that creativity is a way of life that touches everything you do, think or feel. Most creative people have a curiosity about life and express it in their work. Everyone has some type of creativity, you just have to find your own.
